The Office of the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Human Resource Management CG-1 was formerly named as Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel, CG-1 but was then deactivated on 23 July 2007 and was again activated and named as the DEPUTY CHIEF OF COAST GUARD STAFF FOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, DCS-HRM.

To advise or assist the Commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard (CPCG) in the attainment of the Command and Staff activities as pertains to Direction, Control and Supervision of Personnel Matters within the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
